I wanted to thank Rick Black, Ed.D., Superintendent and Annette Eyman, Director of Communications, with the Papillion-La Vista School District (PLSD) for inviting me and several other Papillion Real Estate agents to a Realtor Informational meeting this morning at the district offices. The goal of the meeting was to share information with Papillion REALTORS about the district, factual information about boundaries and take questions.
One item I found interesting was how difficult it is to compare school districts because each district uses different tests and set different standards. Currently the only statewide standard test is for writing, another method is to look at the average ACT test scores. Both of which have seen continued improvement.
Also shared is the PLSD plan to improve the district's website to be more user friendly, provide better information and add a search by address tool to find the schools for that address.
