Douglas County Real Estate Market Update

Thank you for checking out my November Real Estate market report for Omaha NE including Downtown Omaha Condos, Midtown - Dundee, UNMC, North Omaha - Benson, Northwest Omaha, West Omaha Homes, Elkhorn, Ralston and Millard homes that are for sale on the Omaha MLS. .

Active Listings, as of December 5, 2007 and Sold Data from November 1, 2007 to November 30, 2007. Months supply is the number of active listings divided by the number of sold listings.

Christmas is just around the corner and it seems like the market has slowed down a lot over the past few weeks.  I think the main reason is the time of year.  Many home buyers are waiting until after the holidays to decide on buying a home.  If your selling a home, that can mean limited to no showing activity recently.  However, the buyers that are actually out looking at homes are motivated buyers and most likely will buy something soon.  The December slow down is a great time to buy a homes at a reasonable price, before more buyers jump in after the first of the year.
