Dec Newsletter & Trivia

I can't believe Christmas is just 3 weeks away.  It seems like the year has flown by.  Over the past few weeks, the real estate market has really slowed down especially on the number of showings.  What will next year bring?  I think it will take a few more months to get through all the negative press in the national news.  Omaha I feel is a little more insulated from other areas around the nation.  Yes we have foreclosures in the Omaha area, which does effect pricing.  Buyers are a little more cautious about buying next home or their first home.  Unfortunately for sellers, pricing will be under pressure for another year, so if you're a thinking of selling a home don't be surprised if you don't get top dollar in 2008.

A Personal Note from Steve

With December being generally slow for the real estate, I thought it would be a good time to take a family vacation.  So we are taking Nick and Taryn to Disney for a few days. We took Nicholas two years ago, and we all had a great time.  Now it's Taryn's turn and I am sure we will all have a great time as well.  I will post a few pictures next month

Thanks for taking a couple of minutes to read my real estate newsletter.  If you know anyone considering buying or selling a home, I would appreciate your referrals.

Movie Trivia Challenge: Just for fun

Which movie quote is this from?  "Dad, this tree won't fit in our back yard. It's not going in the yard, son. It's going in the living room!"

I recently bought this movie at Target the Friday after Thanksgiving. This movie was made in 1989 and for some people it's a classic movie that must be watched every Christmas.

Thanks for everyone that submitted guesses last month and especially Gordon M for submitting the correct answer. My last months quote was from "Strange Brew", an extremely funny movie.
